Rather than just changing this to a black and white picture, I first added contrast and saturation, then created the montotone image by changing levels and curves. Gave me more control over the clouds and sky for a bit more depth.

Bleach bypass used to burn out some highlights and give a lot more contrast to the pic. Slight 's' curve and sharpened rather excessively to give a grainy effect.
Entered this photo into a local competition and was very pleased with a third prize for it.

Taken at The Butterfly House near Aston, South Yorkshire. Making use of a x2 close up filter. Wasn't easy, as the butterflies tended to not want to stay still ofr very long.

So far I am managing it. Can always find something to photograph. My camera is an escape. It goes almost everywhere with me.
Suffer from a rare ailment, for which there is no known cure. IKPS, or (Irrational Kit Purchasing Syndrome). Because of this, the equipment bag is straining, as it gets crammed to the brim. Always on the lookout for new gear, as well as always on the lookout for new ideas and techniques.
Now to check out the sales pages, to see if there is anything else I might need..........
